Project #3: Creation Story Books
First Grade will be continue a project in which we will be using Microsoft Word and Tux Paint program on the computer to create Creation story books. Last week we watched a video on the 7 days of creation. This week we will create our covers and begin Day 1.
Project #3: Passwords and Online Privacy - Part 2
Second Grade continued our unit on Online Privacy: Why passwords are important and what information should be kept private and not shared online. We played the Password Rap Game and reviewed McGruff's Safety Pledge. At the end of our time we started playing Routers Birthday Surprise. We will continue this next week.
Project #2: Cyber Bullying - Part 3
This week the 3rd through 5th graders will begin creating our animoto video projects to represent our learning about cyber bullying, what it is and what to do if it is happening to you or one of your friends.
Grade 3, 4 and 5
Our older students will begin creating their Animoto PSA announcement about cyberbullying. Last week we finished collecting pictures for our PSAs, so now they are importing them into Animoto. Their videos will answer the following questions:
What is cyberbullying and what technologies do people use to bully?
What are the four types of cyberbullying? Describe each.
What should you do if you or a friend is being cyberbullied?So far the 4th and 5th graders are doing a great job on their videos! Check out the sample video here: Cyberbully PSA
